• CLASS

A variety of classes offered by Carpe Diem Hiroo.

    Basic Class

The class focuses on the basic movements and techniques of Jiu-Jitsu. Many drills (repetition exercises) are also included. There will be very little sparring. In addition, we use a sparring style that starts from a safe position.

    Colord Belt Class

This class is open only to color belt members. The class focuses on the basic movements and techniques of Jiu-Jitsu. Many drills (repetition exercises) are also included. There will be very little sparring. In addition, we use a sparring style that starts from a safe position.

    Advanced Class

In the advanced class, students will learn advanced techniques such as foot locks and how to develop from the position. Sparring time will be longer and the content of the lessons will be of a higher level.

This class is for women only. This class is recommended for those who have practiced jiu-jitsu in elementary school but are not sure whether to continue now that they are in junior high school, or for those who want to try jiu-jitsu for the first time but are not confident in suddenly fighting with a man. (For those who wish to participate in classes other than the girls' class, the entry fee is ¥2,000.)

    no-gi class

The class will be held in rash guards and shorts, not jiu-jitsu clothes. This class is open to members of all belt colors. Grappling requires more "reaction speed" and "muscle strength" than regular Jiu-Jitsu because you cannot "grab" like you can in street clothes. As a result, this class will require a little more physical strength than a regular Jiu-Jitsu class.

    Competition Classes

This class focuses on winning the "match". We will consider how to build your jiu-jitsu in the context of an actual competition, such as limited development in specific situations, sparring with an awareness of rules and scoring, etc. All belts are welcome to participate.

    Technique & Drill Class

Morning BJJ Class. This class focuses on Jiu-Jitsu techniques and drills. There will be no sparring, so this class is recommended for morning activities as an aerobic workout to activate the brain and body. Open to all belts.
